How do you know your faith is working? In part one, we talked about how we know by our actions. Secondly, we know our faith is working by our utterance.
Your words carry power. You cannot claim to be in faith and speak doubt. Your faith is released by your words.
Romans 10:9 - With the heart one believes, with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Confession is a verbal declaration. The Bible talks about three confessions:
1) The confession of the Lordship of Jesus
2) The confession of sin
3) The confession of faith
When you confess the Word, you are saying what God says about you. There must be a heart and mouth connection! If it's just words, there's no power in those words. If you can align your heart and mouth with the word of God, you can change any situation.
Our words have creative power. God created the wolds by His words. We were His only creation that He made in His image and likeness with the ability to speak.
Numbers 14:28
Three things to know about your mouth:
1) Your mouth is not just a body part, it's a gift from God for our triumph in life. Luke 25:15
2) The purpose of your mouth is not just for food. Our mouth is a weapon of war to fight and stand.
3) Your mouth is designed to communicate the wisdom of God.
Luke 21:15
Deuteronomy 30:19
Proverbs 6:2
Your own words either set a trap for us or release us. Your tongue is a tool to communicate your choices in life. When you're speaking, you're choosing your outcome.
If you are speaking life, you will eat life. Proverbs 18:21
Instead of working so hard to guard your mouth, guard your heart. The best way to guard your heart is to fill it with the Word of God. Colossians 3:16
