Emotions don't tell us the truth, they tell you how you feel. Your mind does not tell you the truth unless it's renewed by the Word of God.

As you grow in the Word, you will grow in strength to keep your emotions in subjection.

When you know what God has for you, then you can hold fast in faith irregardless of feelings or natural circumstances.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Seasons will change, but because of the Word, we should remain unaffected. It's not that the heat won't come, but you won't be affected by it because you are rooted in God's Word and being refreshed by it.

Your feelings will keep you out of place, but God's Word will keep you in place.

Mark 11:22-24

Three Things about Feelings:

1) Feelings are based on emotions

2) Reason is the voice of your flesh (mind)

3) If you're walking by your feelings then you are walking by the flesh.

You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body.

Galatians 5:24

Romans 8:5-12

If you walk by your feelings, you cannot be a fruitful Christian.

I Corinthians 9:27

Paul said, "I" discipline my body, not God. You have to train yourself and and God will help you.

What should your body do? Obey your spirit man.

Discipline = to handle roughly, discipline by hardship, to subdue it.
