Day 4: The Importance of Your Expectation

"What things soever you desire, ask in prayer, believe you receive it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24

What are you expecting? No matter how you pray, if you expect nothing, you will receive nothing. I must have an expectation that lines up with the Word of God. Expectation is a confident belief or strong hope that a particular event will happen.

"The desire of the Righteous shall be granted" Proverbs 10:24

Scripture describes faith as "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11:1. You cannot have faith without hope. What you hope for defines what you are expecting. Your expectation is the title deed and confirmation that what you have asked for is done. Faith is Word-based expectation.

Hope is not just anticipation or a wish, it is a Word-based and Living expectation. It's an expectation that draws it's strength from the Living Word of God; therefore the manifestation shall be actualized.

Your expectation will not disappoint. Proverbs 23:18

Hope is future but faith is now. That's why it's so important that when you pray, believe you have it the moment that you pray.

Whenever your expectation is set, your end is sure. "Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off." Proverbs 23:18

You don't just stumble upon the blessings of God. You set consecrate yourself to the Lord, ask, and expect. When there is no expectation, when praying, my prayers are bound to end in frustration.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Those that come to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

God meets the expectation of those that expect of Him.
