We must be Specific for our prayers to be answered.

Building an Effective Prayer Life:

1) Confidence

2) Being Kingdom Minded

3) Be specific in Prayer

False-humility is not approaching God boldly. No prayer request is too difficult for God either. You an afford to be specific about your prayer request. As you present your requests to God, it's important that you back them up with His Word because that is what is going to commit Him to granting your request. Be specific and back it up with God's Word, which is His will; 1 John 5:14-15.

God examines the heart motive behind the request; James 4:1-3, 1 Samuel 16:7

Wrong motives is to exalt self and not God. It is to use God as a means and not as Lord. God will not fund what feeds your flesh. God will not answer a prayer that will feed pride, fuel sin, strengthen carnality or promote selfish ambition. You cannot serve both God and mammon; serve God with all your heart. Matthew 6:24

When you pray, your faith must be in God alone; James 1:6. You must throw out plan B or any backup plan because you know that God is going to come through for you. Faith is a must in order to see answers to your prayers. It is unwise to believe you will receive without faith. Hebrews 11:6

When two blind man asked Jesus for help, He told them that His help was dependent upon their faith; Matthew 9:28-31. There is no special case with God. There is no thing that God cannot help you with; all you need it faith in God. All things are possible if you only believe. Mark 11:23-24

The major source of your faith is the Word of God; 2 Thessalonians 1:3, Jude 1:20. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much, but faith is what will make a prayer fervent. Faith says, "Because God has said it in His Word, then I know He will do it; I know He is doing it in my life".
