The Great Exchange
The great exchange that happens in Christ means exemption for us from anything in your life that doesn't look like Christ's life that He purchased for you! We are exempt from curses such as sickness, poverty, and failure. When we give Him our life that means He has all of us, including our choices. It's our decision to take responsibility for our spiritual life and take ahold of God's promises in His Word. God has set us up to win in life through His blessings.
Being "In Christ"
- Being "in Christ" signifies a rebirth through acceptance of Jesus.
- It involves repentance from sins and making Jesus one’s Lord and Savior.
- This transformation allows God to dwell within us.
Redemption as Exemption
- Redemption through Christ exempts believers from curses imposed by sin.
- Exemption from defeat through any afflictions, dis-ease, oppression, or bondage—includes marital issues, health problems, financial struggles, addictions, attacks.
- Our confession: “My redemption is my exemption.”
Faith in the Gospel
- We must engage with and believe in the truths of the gospel for them to be fruitful in our lives.
- We recognize personal authority over our own life's circumstances.
- Choosing God's Word leads to fruitful outcomes regardless of external conditions.
- Avoiding relying on external factors for help—trust God with complete reliance upon His Word!
Authority Given by God
- Believers possess authority granted by God; we are not meant for poverty or failure.
- Generational curses are broken upon accepting Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:12 Importance of resurrection; without it, faith is meaningless.
Galatians 3:13 Believers have been rescued from curses due to Jesus' sacrifice.
The Great Exchange:
1. Curse vs Blessing
- Through Christ's work on the cross, believers receive blessings instead of curses (fruitfulness) because Christ was made to be a curse for us.
- Lack or barrenness does not belong to us anymore.
2. Generational Curses Broken
- Acceptance into God's family means breaking free from past familial limitations or failures.
Abundant Life is Promised
- John 10:10 there is abundant life available through belief in Jesus’ redemptive power.
