The Power of the Cross

Good Friday is a celebration that marks not a mourning of death but a festival of resurrection. We are celebrating Jesus’ victory over death! The Cross is the turning point where sin and death are overcome through God’s mighty power.

Jesus gave His best for the worst of us, taking upon Himself the curse of sin and iniquity. Redemption is available to everyone, no matter our sinful state. Come as you are to Jesus, because you will never leave the same.

By His crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus stripped Satan of his authority, nailing our transgressions to the cross. Through the power of the cross we overcome trials and resist the enemy’s deception.

Through faith in the cross, we receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. The cross is the place where Jesus, who never sinned, paid the debt for the sinful acts of humanity. The Cross is God’s complete rescue of mankind from sin and the enemy, restoring our relationship with Him.

Jesus took on our unrighteousness so that we might inherit His righteousness, marking a transformative exchange. The sacrifice on the cross is God’s ultimate love gift and solution [salvation] for mankind.
