The Rewards of Consecration - Part 2
God has rewards for those living a life dedicated to Him. His rewards are for those living fully surrendered to Him, not for those living a divided life.
Rewards of consecration.
Psalm 112 (verses 1-3) Blessings for those who fear the Lord.
Fear refers not just fear but reverence towards God’s commandments.
Wealth and riches promised for righteous living.
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts nations.
Transformation Through Christ
2 Corinthians 5:17 Becoming a new creation in Christ; old things pass away.
Full Surrender Accepts the Blessing
- Release any reservations or sins holding you back from a full commitment.
- Let go of anything that's holding you back (i.e. unforgiveness or resentment)
Delight yourself in the Lord; He will give you desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
The Shunammite woman (2 Kings chapter 4):
She served Elijah by building him a room; her unvoiced desire was known by God through Elijah's prophecy about having a son. God knows our deepest desires even when we do not voice them. Delighting in the Lord aligns our hearts with God's will, leading to fulfilment of the secret petitions in our hearts. As we were delighting in Him, He put those desires there because He desires to fulfil them. Secret petitions are recognized by God even if not explicitly stated.
Call to Action:
1. Commitment to God totally without reservations—delight yourself fully in Him!
2. Trust that what seems impossible can be achieved through faith aligned with God's will.
3. You are seen and known by God—even your innermost desires—God takes notice!
Living a consecrated life dedicated entirely unto the Lord brings numerous rewards including spiritual fulfillment, material blessings, and answered prayers. Complete surrender is essential for experiencing breakthroughs where your true desires align with God's divine purpose. By delighting yourself in the Lord, you can trust that He knows your hearts' deepest longings and will provide accordingly when they seek Him first above all else.
